Wikipedia でも、Georgian buildings にとって大切なのは; ' ....... its proportion and balance; simple mathematical ratios were used to determine the height of a window in relation to its width or the shape of a room as a double cube. .....
観客も積極的に参加することを求められる、たとえば " He's behind you!'"(or "Look behind you!") Oh, yes it is!" and "Oh, no it isn't!" etc, etc.

そのとおりです。ですから;
I caught a cold yesterday.
She's also got a cold.
He's got flu.
' I've got a cold. ' というのは ' I haven't got a fever.
まだ flu かどうかはっきりしない体温37〜38℃の頃、「ひどい風邪」をひいているということを言おうとして ' I've got a bad cold, and my temperature's ...... ' と言ったら、サイモンに ' It's not a cold.
' a cold ' というのは ' a common cold ' or ' a head cold ' というものだそうです。
common cold
head cold
A common cold mainly affecting the mucous membranes of the nasal passages, characterized by congestion, headache, and sneezing.
bug
An insect or similar organism, such as a centipede or an earwig.
a. A disease-producing microorganism: a flu bug.
b. The illness or disease so produced: "stomach flu, a cold, or just some bug going around"
I should've said then ' I've got a bug and the temperature's 37.8℃ '
What if the kid's got a bug ? I'll feel his forehead with mine
" ..... Some even prefers Bath in the rain. Jane Austen complained that her first view of Bath in fine weather proved disappointing.

Inca wall at Machu Picchu, constructed in ashlar masonry
Ashlar is prepared (or "dressed") stone work of any type of stone. Stone masonry utilizing dressed stones is known as ashlar masonry, whereas masonry using irregularly shaped stones is known as rubble masonry. Ashlar blocks are large rectangular cuboid blocks of masonry sculpted to have square edges and smooth faces. The blocks are generally about 35 centimeters in height. When shorter than 30 centimeters, they are usually called “small ashlar”.
Ashlar blocks were used in the construction of many old buildings as an alternative to brick. Generally the external face is smooth or polished; occasionally it can be decorated by small grooves achieved by the application of a metal comb. (This process is usually used only on a softer stone ashlar block. The decoration is known as mason's drag.)[1]

quarry
A quarry is a type of open-pit mine from which rock or minerals are extracted. Quarries are generally used for extracting building materials .......
mine
The site of an excavation in the earth from which ore or minerals can be extracted, with its surface buildings, elevator shafts, and equipment.

cantilever
A cantilever is a beam supported on only one end. ....... Cantilever construction allows for overhanging structures without external bracing. ......
This is in contrast to a simply supported beam such as those found in a post and lintel system. A simply supported beam is supported at both ends with loads applied between the supports.
The Building of Bath Museum
The Building of Bath Museum
1. To trail along the ground: (例)The dog's leash dragged on the sidewalk.
2. To move slowly or with effort.
grout/graʊt/
noun として
a thin, coarse mortar poured into various narrow cavities, as masonry joints or rock fissures, to fill them and consolidate the adjoining objects into a solid mass.
verb (used with object) として
to fill or consolidate with grout.
>to pointhttp://michikosbl.exblog.jp/12059629/2010-10-11T02:07:00+09:002010-10-19T18:06:18+09:002010-10-11T02:07:52+09:00MichikoSimon英語
It's taken me some time to learn the word.
1, Full of or having pores(a tiny opening in the skin).
2, Admitting the passage of gas or liquid through pores or interstices.
3, Easily crossed or penetrated.
Stones internal structure is not totally solid and so all stone is absorbent to some degree. The more absorbent a stone is the easier it will stain. Therefore it is important to understand stone porosity and permeability in order to plan a new maintenance schedule or decide how a stone sealer should be applied.
Marble has a porosity ratio of between 0.5% – 2%
Slate has a porosity ratio of between 0.4% – 5%
Granite has a porosity ratio of between 0.4% – 1.5%
Limestone has a porosity ratio of between 0.6% – 31%
最後に Bath stone についての記述をどうぞ、これも石屋サイトからです;
Bath Stone is a instantly recognisable English limestone unlike any other. Used to great effect to build many of the UK's magnificent old traditional English buildings. Bath Stone is also very effective when used for interior stone flooring, as illustrated above with our exclusive hand worked distressed finish.
Bath Stone is an Oolitic Limestone composed of grain like fragments of calcium carbonate. During the ジュラ (195 to 135 million years ago) when a shallow sea covered the Bath area, the marine sediment was laid down; each little grain became coated with lime as it was rolled around the seabed. When highly magnified, the grains or Ooliths often reveal small shell or rock fragments along with skeletons of marine life! Captured forever within the stone.
